Follow the leader has always been such a great children's game.  It is fun to watch the leader attempt to do things that the followers cannot match...and to watch the followers try to imitate the leader.

You are I are called to enter into a slightly different game of follow the leader.  We are called to follow Jesus.  We are called to live in imitation of Christ.  We are to imitate his love for others.  We are to follow his lead in forgiveness.  We are to serve others as Jesus served his disciples.  We are to tell others about God's grace even as he told us.

What makes this game different from the child's game is that Jesus is interested in helping us follow, not in trying to make us fall by the wayside.  Jesus offers us the Holy Spirit as a guide and friend who empowers us to follow more and more closely every day.
